The Children’s Garden at the Montessori nursery school
For this project, I chose to share the design brief provided by the Montessori crèche. It’s particularly interesting, as the requirements for a space welcoming young children are both specific and significant. Additionally, Montessori environments follow a clear educational philosophy. Meeting the expectations of this project was both inspiring and deeply motivating.
Montessori nursery garden – project brief :
- A garden divided into two zones, adapted to different age groups
- Activities aligned with Montessori educational principles
- Creation of shaded areas
- A mix of lively zones and calm, restful spaces
- Flowers to pick in every season
- A garden that supports biodiversity and conserves water (using Zoysia tenuifolia as a low-water alternative to traditional lawn)
